NEW: a new method of collaboration with the banking system has been launched, alongside the previous one.

In compliance with the Ministerial Decree and approval of the Financial Support Committee, SIMEST has launched a system for cooperation with the banking system, which also aims to increase the number of subsidised loans supporting businesses with an international dimension.

The collaboration provides for two different alternative methods, governed by specific agreements.

2023 Agreement

The first Initiative (2023) provides for – in conjunction with the granting of subsidies by SIMEST – the provision of agency banking services by the Participating Banks to Italian companies applying for subsidies, for the purpose of granting and maintaining such subsidies.

2025 Agreement

The New Agreement (2025), in line with the previous one, provides for the Participating Bank to carry out promotion and origination activities with the support of bank financing alongside the subsidised financing provided by SIMEST, in order to maximise coverage of the financial needs of applicant companies in relation to specific projects.

Applicant companies will therefore have easier access to their credit needs, also benefiting from SIMEST subsidies and synergies with the Participating Bank, as detailed in the Agreement.
